Ingredients:
8oz preboiled black chana
1 small tomato skinned and diced finely
1 tablespoon tomato puree
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon chilli powder
1 teaspoon turmeric
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon corriander powder
1 tablespoon sunflower oil
3 tablespoons water
1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 tablespoon fresh coriander for garnish
Method:
1.Heat the oil in a pan .
2.When hot add the mustard seeds and wait for them to crackle
3.Add the tomatoes and tomato puree
4.Add salt,chilli powder,turmeric,corriander powder and cumin powder.
5.Cook till tomatoes are soft and a thick sauce forms.
6.Add 3 tablespoons water
7.Add the preboiled chana and simmer till water is reduced.
8.Transfer to serving dish and garnish with fresh coriander
Serve with hot rotis or parathas.
hmm.. yummy little dish I suppose. I'm just thinking what ur Cookbook's name will be. 'Dishes to be with the Angels' :P. Nice one. Keep it going!
