print recipe

Buckwheat Parathas

Healthy and delicious spicy parathas.

Ingredients:
  • 120g buckwheat flour
  • 1/2 teapoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
  • 1/3 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon freshly chopped fenugreek leaves
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • water for making dough

Method:

1. In a bowl add the flour, chilli powder, turmeric, salt, chopped fenugreek and 1/2 tablespoon oil and mix together.2.Add water  to the flour, a tablespoon at a time until you can form a medium soft dough. Knead the dough and cover and leave it to rest for 20 minutes .3.After 20 minutes divide the dough into 6 balls.4. Using a little bit of dry flour roll each ball into around 6 inch round paratha shape.5. Heat a frying pan on medium heat and add the rolled paratha , after 30 seconds flip the paratha over and brush the top side with some olive oil. Flip the paratha the second time and brush this side with some oil too and flip it back. Once paratha has small brown spots on both sides remove it onto kitchen paper and repeat for rest of parathas.

  9. No idea what they are but love the colour and I am tempted to try it. Are they so yellow due to type of flour or turmeric?

  11. I've been surfing online more than 2 hours today, yet I never found any interesting
article like yours. It is pretty worth enough
for me. In my view, if all website owners and bloggers made good content as
you did, the net will be a lot more useful than ever before.
