Chopping boards one can never have enough in the kitchen. I love my chopping boards to be fun and colourful and I recently discovered this really fun splash chopping board from Mustard.
It is red in colour and splash-shaped chopping board. It has a cool design where the drip part fits on the edge of the counter to make it stable on the worktop. This part is removable for easy storage and cleaning and the material itself is nylon which s very durable. It is an acceptable size 367.0 mm (w) x 108.0 mm (h) x 281.0 mm (d) but could be more useful if it was slightly bigger. If you like innovative things in the kitchen this chopping board will definitely fit the bill. You can purchase it from Mustard it Retails at £ 15.00
I have not received any payment or product for my self to host this giveaway.

ReplyDeleterealised spelling mistake so reposted!
DeleteA fun way to brighten up the kitchen!
ReplyDeletewhen it is damaged? I have a wooden chopping board and it is still in perfect condition
ReplyDeleteI've been using the same chopping board for about 10 years. So my answer would be, when it no longer functions as a chopping board i.e. it breaks into small pieces.
ReplyDeleteEvery 3 years? Not sure really, definitely when they get very scratched.
ReplyDeleteI think it is a fantastic idea and love it!
ReplyDeleteEvery 6 mths
ReplyDeleteWhen it needs to be
ReplyDeleteEvery 6 months
ReplyDeleteEvery 12 months
ReplyDeleteNot sure how often people recommend but as I normally buy wooden ones I change mine 2 monthly
ReplyDeleteEvery 6 months or so I would have thought, could be less.
ReplyDeleteI guess it depends on the material but if it becomes too worn and hard to clean then replace it.
ReplyDeleteI guess it depends on the material but if it becomes too worn and hard to clean then replace it.
ReplyDeleteIt depends on the board - if plastic, change it when it's scored as germs can linger in the grooves. If wooden, it lasts longer with proper care - I tend to ignore official guidelines and replace when it need it.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure, maybe once a year or , if like me you have a glass one, when it breaks. I love this one in the giveaway, so stylish and funky, my kitchen is red and cream and this would look so nice x
ReplyDeleteTwitter @tjsi1963
really cool...
ReplyDeletereally cool...
ReplyDeleteevery year maybe?
ReplyDeleteevery 3 monthes
ReplyDeleteWhen it is broken ?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure but I'm guessing mine have overstayed their welcome!!
ReplyDeletePretty much annually, but we have never had a very good one to be honest!
ReplyDeleteI change mine whenever they look worn out.
ReplyDeleteI think it depends on how often you use it and what it is made of. I have wooden chopping boards and have been told to salt them, don't leave them to soak and they will last longer, but I'm planning on getting some more as they do look a bit tired and I've had them a couple of years now
ReplyDeleteI would say once it starts to warp
ReplyDeletereplace it if it gets too scratched
ReplyDeleteWhen the old one is damaged/worn.
ReplyDeleteneat chopping board
ReplyDeleteI change my chopping board once a year.
ReplyDeleteI'd say when it starts looking worn or has deep groves that can't be cleaned.
ReplyDeleteIf there is any obvious sign /s of damage e.g. cracks, scratches etc. As these make it difficult to clean thoroughly. Timing of replacements could vary due to frequency of use etc.
ReplyDeleteRachel Craig
Not very often!! I love this board.
ReplyDeleteEvery Year
ReplyDeleteAfter six months seems reasonable.
ReplyDeleteEvery 6 months
ReplyDeleteI have changed chopping boards when they started to look worn - I have had a glass board for about 4 years now and it looks good as new!
ReplyDeleteOnly have one board and thats for cutting raw meat. Last changed many years ago.

When the surface is pitted or worn out
ReplyDeletewhen they wear out
ReplyDeleteevery few months or when they get damaged
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely no idea!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure
ReplyDeleteHow often should you change your chopping board?
ReplyDeletewhenever you feel like it lol
love the idea
ReplyDeleteI was told that plastic and wooden cutting boards do wear out over time, however, once any cutting board becomes excessively worn or develops hard-to-clean grooves, they should be discarded and replace! This splash chopping board looks great! So unique! Thank you xxx PS I have different chopping board too - for raw meat, cooked meat, veg, bread etc
ReplyDeletewhen it looks yucky
ReplyDeleteI change mine every 3 months as germs get stuck in the scratches. Hygiene in the kitchen is important especially when you have kids.
ReplyDeletewhen it is too damaged to used?
ReplyDeleteThis is such an unusual design x
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure. Think it depends on the quality of the board. - Karen Milburn
ReplyDeleteWhen the groves are too deep is when ours goes in the bin :)
ReplyDeleteFunky looking board. I like the colour! Red would suit my kitchen perfectly
ReplyDeleteEvery 6 mths but don't think we do - oops!
ReplyDeleteafter 6 months
ReplyDeleteAbout every year
ReplyDeletewhen it begins to look worn.
ReplyDeleteevery year
ReplyDeleteDoesn't it depend on the material? I have a glass board which I have had for ages, but a plastic one I would change every year or so
ReplyDeleteI'd say once every couple of years provided they hadn't any cracks or splits - if they did I'd replace them straight away!
ReplyDeleteEvery 6 months
ReplyDeleteWhen to change a chopping board?
ReplyDeleteWhat's the main criteria?
I would say when it gets gouged
Letting in bacteria
It really depends on how much you use it and how thoroughly you clean it. I'd replace when it looked worn, so for someone who buys decent boards and uses them daily that's about once a year.
ReplyDeleteevery six months but mine is a lot older x
ReplyDeleteWhen your in IKEA and remember that you need a new one, (along with the rest of the totally unecessary items you've filled your trolley with :)
ReplyDelete(I honestly don't know the answer to that, but it has to depend on the material it's made from? Glass can last a lifetime, surely? :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't got a clue
ReplyDeletewhen it becomes warped or has splits in it that can cause cross contamination
ReplyDeleteIt really depends on the type of board you have and how you care for it. They can last for years but if there is any obvious damage it's best to replace them as bacteria will harbour in them.
ReplyDeleteHow about I hedge my bets and say regularly?! Lol.......
ReplyDeleteLaura Harris
Once a chopping board becomes excessively worn or develops hard-to-clean nicks and grooves then it should be replaced. The grooves are the perfect breeding ground for bacteria.
ReplyDelete6 months depending on wear
ReplyDeleteWow! I googled it (I google everything!) it said every couple of years, so I bow my head as we bought ours when we moved in nearly three years ago.
ReplyDeletewhen it is no longer hygienic or safe to use
ReplyDeleteI would say when it needs it, as they can last a while longer if you take care of them :) x
ReplyDeleteWow that looks really good and would look great in my kitchen
ReplyDeleteevery 6 months
ReplyDeleteI would say every 12 months
ReplyDeleteWhen it gets damaged such as lots of scratches.
ReplyDeleteWhen you win one ;)
ReplyDeleteBasically, whenever it's too damaged to clean thoroughly. If if has deep grooves or dents that you can't clean very well then it'll build up with nasty bacteria so it's best to throw it at that stage
ReplyDeleteAs needs be :) I love this design!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, I don't know! About every year or so I guess? I'm off to google...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the brill giveaway!
Anna Ibbotson
I have no idea. I have had mine for years and I always thought that bleaching it from time to time would mean it is perfectly safe to keep on using.
ReplyDeleteWhen you can't clean it effectively
ReplyDeleteIt's something I've never considered. We've had our years and always give it a good scrub after each use. No problems so far!
ReplyDeletedepends on what it is made from and how you look after it. I would say when you need to?
ReplyDeletenot sure to be honest
ReplyDeleteEvery 6 months!!
ReplyDeleteI would replace it when it became overly stained or when it breaks - or when I see an uber cool one that I neeeed! Hehe.
ReplyDeleteI change mine every six months
ReplyDeleteI don't know? when it starts to look manky??
ReplyDeleteWhen you need to or when you find a fun new one!
ReplyDeleteWhen it needs to be
ReplyDeleteWhen it needs to be.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure :/
ReplyDeleteWe've got a glass one which we've never changed (had it two years) but plastic and wooden ones we've changed every 6 months...
ReplyDeleteAs long as it's cleaned and not cracked I don't see any reason TO replace it. When it breaks.
ReplyDeleteIt depends on how often it is used and how worn it gets.
ReplyDeletenot really sure, I change if is got scratches ect that bacteria can get in and it hard to clean
ReplyDeleteEvery year ????
ReplyDeleteevery 6 months? or before if it looks tired
ReplyDeleteevery few months id say :) x
ReplyDeletedepends on the material
ReplyDeleteevery 3 months
ReplyDeleteevery couple of years ?
ReplyDeleteWhenever it starts to look tatty?
ReplyDeleteIt depends what you mean. If you mean whilst cooking then whenever you change from raw meat to veg or cooked meat. Or in the long term when they don't come clean (red peppers!), though wooden boards only need changing when you are ashamed of them.
ReplyDeleteDepends on the material - mine are mainly plastic so when it becomes worn in appearance or difficult to clean 'grooves'
ReplyDeletewhenever its damaged
ReplyDeleteevery 6 months?
ReplyDeletejust when its worn and needs it...in my opinion
ReplyDeleteIt depends on how often its used, the material its made from and how worn it has become. Maybe every year?
ReplyDeletewhen it is stained or damaged
ReplyDeleteevery 3 months
ReplyDeleteEvery time it gets cut through!
ReplyDeletenot until it breaks!
ReplyDeleteevery few months or when its broken
ReplyDeleteIt depends on the use, what your chopping on it, and how damaged it is.. so each persons chopping boards will have a different life spam! :)
ReplyDeletewhen it starts to get damaged
ReplyDeleteMore often than we all do
ReplyDeleteI have no idea!
ReplyDelete@jaizduck
I am guessing it depends what its made off ( in terms of "official" recommendations) I would say change it about every 12 months though .
ReplyDeleteevery 3 months
ReplyDeleteWhen it starts to look worn.
ReplyDeleteevery 6 months!
ReplyDeletetrevor linvell
When it looks like I need a new one1
ReplyDeletewhen it starts to either be too worn or deeply scratched that it cannot be cleaned properly hence harbouring germs , however with proper care wooden boards can last for ages
ReplyDeleteIts glass and i boil it in the sink
ReplyDeleteAnnually?
ReplyDeleteWhen it's needed. Really depends on the material and use of the board
ReplyDeleteWhen it's damaged.
ReplyDeleteYearly
ReplyDeleteevery few months
ReplyDeleteevery few months
ReplyDeleteNot sure, I guess it depends on what it's made of :-)
ReplyDeleteI change mine every year - or sooner if they look too damaged or worn!
ReplyDeleteOoooh, I use things until there is absolutely no life left in them - every little helps ;)
ReplyDeleteas and when needed
ReplyDeletedepend on the quality and the type of board and how often we use it
ReplyDeleteI replace them once they're worn and scratched to bits, probably once a year. I use plastic ones that go in the dishwasher so cleanliness isn't an issue
ReplyDeleteI don't know the recommended length of time but I certainly change mine when it becomes stained or too badly scratched to clean properly.
ReplyDeleteI don't know the recommended length of time but I certainly change mine when it becomes stained or too badly scratched to clean properly.
ReplyDelete2-3 years?
ReplyDeleteWhen its over used and beyond cleaning
ReplyDeleteEvery year
ReplyDeleteI change mine wooden one every year
ReplyDeleteWhen it is looking like an eye-sore :)
ReplyDeleteI would say when marks a visible or once a year :)
ReplyDelete@oneisjamie
It Depends
ReplyDeleteDepends what type it is!
ReplyDeleteI think it would depend on what it is made of? My chopping board is solid beech, I sterilise it once a week in Milton/boiling water and oil it afterwards. It's now about six years old and perfectly fine.
ReplyDelete@TrishIsTheBoss
Once it's worn? I'm not sure.
ReplyDeleteEvery six months
ReplyDeletewhenever it doesnt get clean properly anymore
ReplyDeleteOnce a year
ReplyDeleteNever really thought about it! Guess once it's showing signs of damage?
ReplyDeleteI would think depending on the type, when it is scratched beyond use.
ReplyDeleteAbout once a year, depending on the material it is made from.
ReplyDeletewhen it breaks
ReplyDeleteNo idea, probably at least once a year :D
